In October 3 of our members took advantage of district training at the Level 1 Rotary training seminar held in surrey: Thank you Camil, Blaire, and James for representing the club and bringing back valuable knowledge.
Rotary Citation - Platinum
October saw the Rotary club of Fraserview recognized with another award from Rotary. This was the Rotary Citation at the Platinum Level for the 2018/19 year, presented By Darcy Long to the club, Ellen Hsu Past President, and Erin Shum President elect, accepted on behalf of the club!

What is a Paul Harris Fellow?
The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. ... In 1969, the Foundation unveiled the first Paul Harris Fellow medallion at the Rotary Convention in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
Many other notable figures have been named as Paul Harris Fellows, including U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Russian President Boris Yeltsin, U.S. astronaut James Lovell, UN Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar, and Jonas Salk.

Again our club has grown taking us into 47 members. At the October meting Kirsten Bloomquist Author was inducted into the club by Past District Govenor Darcy Long, Past President Ellen Hsu, and President elect Erin Shum.
New Bylaws Document
The Bylaws have not been updated in a few years and don't match what the practices should be for a Rotary club in 2019. The Board has worked to revamp the document and this is now posted on the website.
