Year End Lunch & Installation event this week!
Wednesday June 24th - Rotary Club of Fraserview will hold the annual Event and lunch for year and end and to mark the new Rotary Year which starts in July.
Come out to lunch and meet the new executive, we have some major awards (Paul Harris) and lots of news, there should be a good attendance and people from the District to meet.

Year in Review
Although the end of the year stalled up due to COVID 19, we close the year with some impressive results.
- A number of awards from the district this year, including for growth of the club that we share with the Mountainview club.
- More Paul Harris fellows in one year than ever before
- More sustaining members
- Raised and donated almost $14,000 to various community groups and causes in BC and around the globe.
- Hit our Goals for Fundraising and for projects, Volunteer hours and services.

New President Elect this year:
Dr. Joost C.A. Schokkenbroek is the Executive Director of the Vancouver Maritime Museum (VMM). He brings to this institution a museum and academic background spanning over three decades.
Dr. Schokkenbroek holds a PhD in maritime history from Leiden University. He began his museum career in 1988 at the Kendall Whaling Museum in Sharon, Massachusetts, USA. Since that time Dr. Schokkenbroek has been affiliated with Het Scheepvaartmuseum (The Dutch National Maritime Museum) in Amsterdam for over 26 years. His last position was as Chief Curator.
He also held the professorial position of Chair of Maritime History and Maritime Heritage at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Serving both the (maritime) museum world and academia Schokkenbroek has built bridges to bring these two separate worlds a bit closer together.
